I'm Manfred Tochukwu (Orjioke Manfred, AKA Editorsquote) - a Nigerian software engineer who has been shipping production software since 2019. I work across JavaScript/TypeScript (React, React Native, Node.js), with working knowledge of Python and PHP, and I'm hands-on with AI/LLM prompt engineering and multi-provider LLM integration.
My work spans the full build cycle - from architecture and roadmap planning through implementation, testing, and deployment. I own products solo, end to end: database, backend logic, UI, and mobile deployment, without splitting the work across a team.
I'm a product thinker at heart - I enjoy breaking down ambiguous problems, scoping features, and iterating fast on feedback. I take critique well; it's part of building the right thing, not just a working thing.
No computer science degree, no bootcamp - just a decision to learn by building, and the willingness to keep doing it.
My formal education stops at a High School Diploma from Community School. Everything else - software architecture, algorithmic trading, AI engineering - has been self-directed learning, proven out through shipped, production systems rather than coursework.
That meant learning the hard way: picking a real problem, like a trading platform that needed a signal engine and a live dashboard, and figuring out whatever architecture, testing, or deployment knowledge the problem demanded. Each shipped product left me with skills a classroom wouldn't have forced.
The approach hasn't changed. I'm currently working through a structured cybersecurity curriculum - foundations, networks, tools like Linux and SQL, threat detection, and security automation with Python - alongside deepening my data analytics skills, because learning never really stops. It's just aimed at whatever the next problem needs.

Production systems built with real users, real data, and real constraints.
A companion that captures a trader's discretionary decision-making - chart state, screen, audio narration, and actions - and turns it into a structured, queryable dataset rather than a simple trade log. Built a Chrome MV3 extension with a persistent side-panel UI and an offscreen document for microphone capture, paired with a local FastAPI ingestion server that mechanically correlates raw events into "decision frames," plus a separate, explicit-only AI analysis layer that never overwrites the raw record.
An end-to-end trading intelligence system: a market-structure signal engine, real-time WebSocket delivery, a web dashboard, and a companion mobile app - all built on one coherent architecture across four surfaces. Built a pure-asyncio WebSocket server with per-symbol subscriptions and a full backtesting suite, plus multi-timeframe signal logic with test coverage on the core logic.
A published React Native trading-journal app: trade logging, performance tracking, and real-time data hooks. Planned the feature roadmap and iterated post-launch based on user feedback.
A free, behaviour-first trading journal for web: trade logging with screenshot attachments, discipline tracking, and emotion review to help traders build better habits. Designed and shipped the full product end to end, from architecture through deployment.
Designed AI-driven product features: GPT-powered, context-aware conversation flows and automated content scheduling, built through iterative prompt engineering. Built an interactive Telegram Mini App with deep-link integration and state management.
A light Web3 project: front-end and swap-routing integration for a decentralised exchange, with MetaMask/WalletConnect authentication.
